Using Leviter.

Leviter is free to download and use. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install Leviter and use it on Macs you own or control, for personal or work use.

Leviter stays ours. You may not sell, rent, lend or redistribute it, or copy, modify or reverse-engineer it, except where the law allows you to.

Who can use it.

You need to be old enough to make a binding agreement where you live. If you aren’t, a parent or guardian needs to agree to these terms for you, and they’re responsible for your use of Leviter.

What it does on your Mac.

Leviter moves the pointer, clicks, types and runs commands for you, based on what your camera sees and, when you ask it to listen, what you say. Like any way of controlling a computer, it can misread you.

You’re responsible for what happens on your Mac while you use it, including actions Leviter takes for you. Check anything important, such as sending a message, making a payment or deleting a file, before you confirm it. To turn hand control off at any time, press ⌃⌥⌘H or use Leviter’s icon in the menu bar.

Not a medical device.

Leviter is a general way to control a Mac. It isn’t a medical device, hasn’t been clinically tested, and isn’t meant to diagnose, treat or replace care for any condition. Don’t rely on it where a missed or wrong action could cause harm, such as in an emergency.

Your privacy.

How Leviter handles your information is on the Privacy page. In short: video and speech are processed on your Mac, and aren’t saved or sent anywhere.

Other services.

Some features hand off to Apple’s own, like Spotlight and Apple Intelligence, or open websites in your browser. Those have their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.

Following the law.

Use Leviter only in ways the law allows. Don’t download or use it where U.S. export control or sanctions laws don’t allow it, including in a country or by a person those laws restrict.

Updates and changes.

We may update Leviter, change or remove features, or stop offering it. If these terms change, the new version goes on this page with a new date first. When a change matters, the next version of Leviter asks you to agree again. Using Leviter after a change means you accept the new terms.

No warranty.

Leviter and this website are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don’t promise that Leviter will be free of errors or work with every Mac, camera or app.

Limits on liability.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or revenue, that come from using Leviter or this website. Our total liability for any claim about Leviter is limited to US$50.

Some places don’t allow these limits, so some of them may not apply to you.

Ending.

You can stop using Leviter at any time: quit it and delete it (the Help page shows how). Your license ends if you break these terms.

The law that applies.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes about them go to the state or federal courts in Orange County, Florida, except where the law where you live says otherwise.

The rest.

These terms, with the Privacy page they point to, are the whole agreement between you and us about Leviter. If a part of them can’t be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part right away, we haven’t given it up. You can’t transfer these terms to someone else; we can, for example if Leviter changes hands. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without owing you anything.
